Hello All!
I am a pyrographer (wood burner) artist who primarily does anime/geek art pieces.
I frequent conventions throughout the west, and have a website for those interested in a piece!
I also sell Giclee prints, jewelry, and other misc. items through my website.

Really neat work here; you put most pencil artists to shame! I can't believe I've never thought to try pyrography myself; can you tell me a bit about it? Is your tool similar to a soldering iron, and do you draw on the wood in pencil first?

There are tools to start it in every major hobby shop (usually) I would start with one of those, they cost about 30.00usd.
The tool (a pyrography pen) is very similar to a soldering iron just with different tips to use for shading, lines, detail etc....
Depending on the piece, I will either transfer the image onto the wood, or just freehand it
